Admission to Nursery
Mrs Morgan and the Nursery Team welcome children into Nursery in the school term following their third birthday.
All 3 year old children are entitiled to 15 hours' Nursery education per week over a mixture of mornings, afternoons or full days.
We are also able to offer 30-hours free funding for those that are eligible. For more information please click the below link
If you are unsure, please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk to sign up and register for the additional funding. Once you have completed your application and it has been accepted by the HMRC, please bring your authorisation code to the school office.
The usual times for Nursery sessions are:
Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 11:45am and 12:20pm - 3:20pm
We also offer a complimentary lunch every day, if your child is attending a full day. Please contact the school office or ask the Nursery Team for further details.
From September 2023 we will be offering families the opportunity to pay for additional sessions should they require them. The cost is £5.50 per hour and are payable on ParentPay. Please contact the school office for more information.

Admissions arrangements to our Key Stage One classes
Children who would like to join our infant school have to apply for a place, even if they already attend our Nursery.
Applications for Reception cohorts open in November, and close in January. We will share information with families in Autumn Term 2 in school and on social media.
In Year applications are welcome any time.

In deciding on admissions to all academies in Derbyshire, the following order of priority will be adopted.
1. Looked after children and children who were looked after but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order).
2. Children living in the normal area, served by the school at the time of application and admission, who have brothers or sisters attending the school at the time of the application and admission.
3. Children living in the normal area served by the school at the time of application and admission.
4. Children not living in the normal area served by the school but who have brothers or sisters attending the school at the time of application and admission.
5. Other children whose parents have requested a place.
In the case of 2-5 above, choices have to be made between children satisfying the same criteria. Those children living nearest to the school (measured by straight line distance) will be given preference.
Individual pupils who have a statement of Speical Educational Needs or an Educational Health Care Plan, which names the school, will be admitted.
Our planned admission number each year is 60.
